atsec China completed the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) Applications assessment for PaymentLink from Fujian Newland Payment Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter “Newland NPT”). The PCI SSC (Security Standards Council) validated the assessment results, and PaymentLink is now listed on the official website of PCI SSC as a validated application.
Per the PCI SSC, this listing is a resource for use by PCI P2PE Solution Providers, Component Providers, or for merchants implementing their own Merchant Managed Solution (MMS), as P2PE Applications are intended to be loaded onto PCI-approved PTS POI devices used as part of a P2PE Solution. Global merchants and acquirers can use this list to select an appropriate P2PE solution to reduce the scope of the cardholder data environment and the scope of a PCI DSS assessment while improving overall security.
P2PE facilitates the development, approval, and deployment of PCI approved P2PE solutions that increase the protection of account data by encrypting that data from the point of interaction within the encryption environment, where account data is captured, through to the point of decrypting that data inside the decryption environment, effectively removing clear-text account data between these two points.
Tony Wu, Certification Department Manager of Newland NPT comments: “We are immensely proud that Newland NPT has successfully achieved PCI P2PE validation. This milestone is a testament to our team’s dedication and the rigorous assessment by the experts at atsec, whose professionalism was invaluable. Together, we have solidified our position as a leader in payment security.” As an accredited QSA (P2PE) and PA-QSA (P2PE), atsec performs security assessments for P2PE Solutions, P2PE Components and/or P2PE Applications, and validates them to be compliant with PCI P2PE standard.
